The day begins bright and early with bib pick-up starting at 6:20 AM, followed by the Half Marathon and 10K races kicking off at 7:00 AM, and the 5K starting shortly after at 7:30 AM. With multiple water stations and on-course support, runners will stay hydrated and energized throughout their journey. Plus, all finishers will receive a medal, with special awards for the top male and female runners in each distance. CHOOSE YOUR MEDAL RUN! Join us for the exhilarating Ring out the Old race, featuring a range of distances to suit every runner's preference. Runners have a chance to earn a unique "old" medal from High Tides Runs or our esteemed parent company, Mercury Runs. Our coveted High Tides Runs are available here!

PARKING: Free parking in the lot; more is available on Woodley Ave

6:20AM Bib pick-up opens
7:00AM Half marathon & 10k start

7:35AM Registration & start line close
10:20AM Course closes (3 hours, 20 minutes for the Half and 10k)
_Early start of 6:30am may be pre-arranged for half marathoners, email your request to [email protected]. All early starters will not be eligible for awards._

MORE ABOUT THE COURSE
The race routes go across the grass, under the road through a tunnel, and enter the Lake Balboa Park area. Route will be finalized week of race, rain-pending
Our courses are on open paths so please be considerate of other park users!
ON-COURSE SUPPORT
Multiple water stations are located along the routes. The finish line will also have an aid station stocked with water, electrolytes, and other snacks. We have a first aid kit at each station and all High Tides Crew Members have received CPR training. The turns are clearly marked with chalk and runner turn signs
FINAL DETAILS
BIB: Please wear your race bib on the front of your shirt so we can track your time and send your pics!
GEAR CHECK: You may leave personal items with staff at the registration tent. Please bring your own bag.
MEDALS: All runners receive a finishing medal. 1st place medals are given to the overall 1st male and female in each distance
RESULTS & PHOTOS: An email with race results and photos will be sent the day after the race and earlier on Instagram. Race photos are free!
