Join us on Sunday, October 19, 2025, for the exhilarating Riverdale Temple Fall of Life 5K/10K Run/Walk in the scenic Bronx, New York! This exciting event features a challenging 5K run/walk through the picturesque rolling hills of Riverdale, perfect for both seasoned runners and casual walkers. For those looking for an extra challenge, we've introduced a 10K option, which is simply a second loop of the 5K course. The festivities kick off bright and early at 8:15 AM with a free Toddler Dash, followed by the main race starting at 8:43 AM.
Whether you choose to participate in the 5K or tackle the 10K, your involvement supports the vibrant community programs at Riverdale Temple. Advance registration is available at just $30 for the 5K and $40 for the 10K, with day-of registration beginning at 7:15 AM. Don’t forget to bring a shelf-stable food item to contribute to the Friendly Fridge BX initiative, helping those in need within our community. Join us for a day of fun, fitness, and community spirit as we come together to celebrate health and support a great cause!

Welcome to all runners, walkers, and volunteers
I would like to express my gratitude for your participation in the second running of the Riverdale Temple 5K Fall Run/Walk. As our inaugural event in 2024 was such a hit, we have decided to add a 10K for a double-loop challenge of the hill.
Here, you will find all our race details, including packet pick-up, race logistics and preparedness, and post-race celebration.
Your participation in this event, whether as a participant or as a volunteer, helps support Riverdale Temple programming, and ensures that much-needed resources are in place for the entire communitys benefit. As we continue to provide and grow our current community programming, such as movie nights, theater shows, karaoke nights, community Labor Day barbecue, fitness and wellness classes, high holiday celebrations, mommy and me programming, Jewish Adult Education and much more your financial support by participating and/or donating to this amazing event makes this day much more special!
Riverdale Temple is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1947, and offers people from all walks of life a vibrant, progressive, multi-generational Reform Jewish community right here in Riverdale. We are committed to a warm, caring, inclusive approach to Jewish life, and we celebrate the beautiful diversity of our membership. Our community consists of young and old, singles and couples, young families, members of the LGBTQIA+, and includes those from Jewish and non-Jewish backgrounds.
Through our dedication to tikkun olam, or repairing the world, we initiate and/or take part in many forms of community outreach including grocery collections, clothing drives, and our own Mitzvah Day, an annual day of community service focusing on projects within and outside the Temple to serve others in the larger community.
For this event, we are asking for you to bring a shelf-stable food item with you to the race, where it will be collected in support of Friendly Fridge BX ([email protected]), an organization that helps redirect 30 tons of food on a monthly basis to those who are food insecure. Your donations can help make a difference in someones life and help keep nutritious food out of the landfills.
