A woman's lifetime risk of developing breast cancer is 1 in 8 and although breast cancer is a disease that affects mostly women, the lifetime risk for men is approximately 1 in 833. In United States in 2022, an estimated 287,850 new cases of invasive breast cancer were diagnosed and 43,250 of those women will die from the disease. For men in 2022, approximately 2,710 new cases were diagnosed and 530 of those men will die from the disease.
The Rotary Club of Alexandria West and METAvior, two 501 (c) (3), organizations are partnering to raise funds for breast cancer research. Event co-sponsors include: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Zeta Chi Omega and Pi Nu Omega Chapters. Become a Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze sponsor today!
