Participants can choose to run a 5K or walk a 2-mile course along the picturesque Valley View and Eagle paved pathways.
Start your day with a morning of fun and fitness, all while supporting local nonprofit food pantries. Registration is just $10 per person or $25 for a family of three or more, plus a minimum donation of three non-perishable food items per participant. Registration will take place in person at the Utica Recreation Center from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM, with the run commencing promptly at 9:00 AM. Bring your family, friends, and even your furry companions to make this Thanksgiving unforgettable! Continue the tradition IN-PERSON! Run -_or-_ Walk a 5k or 2 miles! Each Thanksgiving Day the Utica Roadrunners host their annual Run 2 End Hunger with 100% of all the proceeds benefiting local nonprofit food pantries. This event has been running for 41 consecutive years on Thanksgiving morning! The run follows the Utica Roadrunners' Wednesday night 5K and 2 mile Development Run courses through Valley View and The Eagle paved pathways.
The Run2End Hunger is a fun run to kick off Thanksgiving! This run does not have race bibs, packet pickup, official timing, t-shirts, or finisher prizes. Our goal is to raise funds and non-perishable food items for local community organizations and start Thanksgiving together with a fun run!
The 42ND ANNUAL RUN 2 END HUNGER will be held on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 2026. Registration is just $10 per person or $25 per family (3 or more participants) plus a minimum of 3 nonperishable items per person. Registration for this family-friendly (dogs included) run/walk will take place within RunSignup -_or-_ IN-PERSON on Thanksgiving Day at the Utica Recreation Center, located at 220 Memorial Parkway, starting at 7:30am until 8:30am.
IF REGISTERING A FAMILY, PLEASE SELECT THE FAMILY OPTION ONE TIME. THEN USE THE FAMILY (ADDITIONAL PARTICIPANTS) TO REGISTER ADDITIONAL FAMILY MEMBERS.
THE 5K RUN AND 2 MILE WALK WILL START PROMPTLY AT 9:00AM.
All food donations (minimum of 3 nonperishable items per person) can be dropped off prior upon entering the Utica Recreation Center that morning. We'd like to give a special thanks for the support of the Greater Utica Sunrise Rotary Club [https://www.facebook.com/GreaterUticaSunrise/], for their time collecting food on Thanksgiving morning.
