EVERY MILE YOU GO HAS THE POWER TO TRANSFORM LIVES
Welcome to Run for Education, a virtual race that will take place from June 24th to 30th! This challenge aims to support young students from rural areas of Colombia to access higher education. The funds raised will be allocated to our Somos Bachilleres program, which provides support to students from rural areas in their transition to higher education. LETS BUILD TOGETHER A MORE EQUITABLE WORLD, ONE MILE AT A TIME.
Registration for Run for Education is open to everyone. You can run or walk at your own pace, at any time of the day and as many times as you want between 6/24 and 6/30. Log your miles through Strava or on the race page (Run Sign Up). Prior to the start of the race, we will share more details in your email on how to upload your activities, as well as information about participants ranking. If you prefer to participate with a local group, check the event details for a list of meeting points in different cities. This list is under construction, so we recommend you visit the page frequently.
We encourage all participants to share their experience with friends and family to support us in our mission to promote educational equity!
All participants will receive a certificate as a token of gratitude.

ABOUT US:
Colombia is one of the countries with the greatest inequality in the world and with one of the lowest social mobility rates in Latin America (OECD, 2018). Educational gaps are wide and reflect and perpetuate social inequities. To boost social mobility and reduce these gaps, it is essential to ensure that the most vulnerable populations have access to high quality education and have opportunities to continue their higher education.
CONEDUCACI'ON is a non-profit organization dedicated to closing social gaps through educational equity and community work. Through our programs, we support young people from rural areas of Colombia so they can access higher education.
HOW VIRTUAL RACES WORK:
Participating in a virtual race is very easy!
* Sign up for the Run for Education race.
* Run, jog or walk as many times as you want at any time between June 24 and 30.
* Post your pictures using #ConEducaci'on and #RunForEducation and tag us @coneducacioncol

A virtual race is an event in which you can run or walk from anywhere in the world joining the same cause. Run, jog, or walk on the street, a trail, a track, or even in the gym. You choose the place and the pace!

Este desaf'io tiene como objetivo ayudar a j'ovenes estudiantes de zonas rurales de Colombia a acceder a la educaci'on superior. Los fondos recaudados ser'an destinados a nuestro programa Somos Bachilleres, que brinda acompa~namiento a estudiantes de zonas rurales en su transici'on a la universidad. CREEMOS UN MUNDO M'AS EQUITATIVO, UN KIL'OMETRO A LA VEZ.
La inscripci'on para Run for Education est'a abierta a todxs. Puedes correr o caminar a tu propio ritmo, en cualquier momento y las veces que quieras entre el 24 y el 30 de junio, y registrar tus kil'ometros a trav'es de Strava o en la p'agina de la carrera (Run Sign Up). Previo al inicio de la carrera te compartiremos a tu correo electr'onico m'as detalles para subir tus actividades, as'i como informaci'on sobre el ranking de lxs participantes.
