For just $10, each entry supports one of three incredible non-profits dedicated to preserving our natural treasures: Runners for Public Lands, Trust for Public Land, and the National Forest Foundation. Not only will your entry fee go directly to these organizations, but for every mile you run during the event, we will donate an additional $0.50, with a goal of reaching 6,000 miles! Let's rally together to protect our public lands—submit your miles by March 5th, and see how far we can go for this important cause. Mark your calendars and lace up your running shoes for this uplifting event!

Organiser's Description
We are witnessing the damage caused to public lands by cuts and layoffs to the employees and government agencies that oversee one of the nation's treasures: it's public lands. As prolific users of public lands, we know just how much work and money goes into maintaining trails, parking lots, bathrooms, signage, staff and more. We wanted to do something, so we are doing Run for Public Lands.
It's a simple fundraiser: Each entry is $10, all of which will be donated to one of three non-profits. In addition, for every mile that every participant runs anytime between February 27th and March 4th. For every mile run, we will donate $0.50 (capped at $3,000--that's 6,000 miles--let's make it happen!). Finally, each participant can also make an additional donation during registration or afterwards.
Miles can be submitted through March 5th. We will tally it all up on March 6th and make the donations on March 7th.
