Participants will not only enjoy a spirited run but also contribute to vital initiatives that enhance environmental stewardship and provide essential resources to wildlife rehabilitators. Plus, there will be awards for the top three finishers in both male and female categories! ABOUT US
Fort Bend Wildlife Rescue is a coalition of wildlife rehabilitators who serve Fort Bend and surrounding counties. Our purpose is to help orphaned, injured, and ill wildlife by supporting rehabilitators, modelling environmental stewardship and providing educational outreach to our community.
We officially formed as a non-profit in 2023 and our specific objectives are to:
Provide resources to wildlife rehabilitators, such as food, training, medicine, and vet care.
Raise funds to establish a physical wildlife center, provide equipment, staffing and training for wildlife rehabilitators.
Mentor sub permittees, increase the number of permitted wildlife rehabilitators, and attract volunteers.
Participate in education and outreach events and activities that promote coexistence of humans and wildlife.
