This exciting event promises a fast and flat course starting on Zion Street, right across from Trinity Lutheran Church. Participants will navigate a scenic route that takes them through charming neighborhoods before finishing strong back at the church. The 5K race kicks off at 9:00 a.m., followed by a fun-run at 10:00 a.m., making it a perfect day for families and runners of all ages.
But that's not all! All participants will be rewarded with a delicious scoop of ice cream, adding a sweet treat to your race experience. Registration is affordable, with early bird prices at just $30 for adults and $20 for those 18 and under. If you prefer to take part virtually, you can join the fun from anywhere for just $30, and still receive a race shirt! Join the community, enjoy the camaraderie, and support the South Rowan Public Schools Bible Teaching Association while you run. Organiser's Description
COURSE - The Run for the Word 5K course will start on Zion Street, across Highway 153 from Trinity Lutheran Church (108 W. Rice Street, Landis NC 28088). Turn right on Hoke Street, right again on Kimmons Street, and another right on Rice Street. Continue to Highway 29 Business and turn left. Follow for 1.1 miles to the turnaround in the parking lot at Hogan's Cabinetry. Retrace the route back to Landis for 1 mile and turn right on Ridge Avenue and then left on Zion Street to finish beside Trinity Lutheran, the host facility. This is a fast and flat course!!
All PROCEEDS go to the South Rowan Public Schools Bible Teaching Association.
ICE CREAM - Each 5k and fun run participant will be rewarded with a free SCOOP OF ICE CREAM!!

Rice Street, Landis, NC 28088 or at an alternative location and time TBD. Virtual participants not eligible for awards.
AWARDS - Immediately following the race: Top 3 Overall Male and Female. Overall Masters Male and Female. 5K Top 3 Male and Female participants in each age division.

AGE GROUPS 5K: 11 & under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over.
