Run Like It's Recess 5K

Get ready for an exciting day of fun and fitness at the 14th Annual Run Like It's Recess 5K, taking place on Sunday, January 26, 2025, in beautiful Long Beach, Los Angeles! This family-friendly event offers a variety of race distances, including a 5K run/walk, a 1K, and a delightful Toddler Run, making it perfect for all ages and fitness levels. The 5K will kick off at 9 am, followed by the 1K at 10:15 am and the Toddler Run at 10:45 am.

Hosted at the scenic El Dorado Park East, participants will enjoy a flat and fast course that’s both stroller and wheelchair friendly. It's an ideal setting for those aiming to set personal records or simply savor the beautiful surroundings. Not only is this event a fantastic way to promote health and wellness in the community, but it also serves as a fundraiser for Newcomb Academy PTSA. All finishers will receive medals, and awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age group.
