Next, racers will paddle 2,200 feet down a low-flow whitewater creek channel using inflatable kayaks, affectionately known as duckies. The event wraps up with another 1.5-mile run back to the raft barn, making for a total run distance of 3 miles.
Participants will enjoy an array of perks, including a race t-shirt (if registered by July 9th), race bibs, and all necessary whitewater equipment. Plus, awards will be presented to the top three finishers in both male and female categories, with medals for all participants at the finish line. Organiser's Description
Montgomery Whitewater is adding a new event to its Adventure Race Series:Run Paddle Run. This multi-discipline race starts with a 1.5-mile run, followed by a 2,200-foot paddle creek-channel low-flow whitewater utilizing duckies (_inflatable kayaks)_, and finishes with another 1.5-mile run back to the raft barn.
TOTAL RUN DISTANCE: 3 miles _(split into two 1.5-mile segments)_
TOTAL PADDLE DISTANCE: 2,200 feet on Low - Flow Whitewater on the Creek Channel
TRANSITION AREA: In front of the raft barn
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Overall1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners in both female and male categorieswill receive a trophy. Race medalswill be awarded to all participants at the finish line.

WEATHER POLICY:
Arain or shine eventa little challenge makes it even more fun! However, in case of thunderstorms or tornado warnings, the race may be rescheduled or canceled for safety.

Montgomery Whitewater will provide all of the equipment needed for the Creek Channel kayak paddle; however, athletes must wear Tennis shoes or water shoes with secure back straps. No flip flops or Crocs allowed. Please note that this race is not timed. Overall1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners in both female and male categorieswill receive a trophy. Race medalswill be awarded to all participants at the finish line All participants will receive a race t-shirt, and medal. Race t-shirt sizes and availability are not guaranteed for those who sign up after July 9th.
