Get ready to jingle all the way at the Run Run! Rudolph! 5k event on Saturday, December 14, 2024, in the festive city of Morgantown, Monongalia! This exciting family-friendly 5k run/walk, starting at 10:00 AM, invites participants of all ages to don their best Santa, Mrs. Claus, or elf outfits, complete with reindeer antlers, for a day filled with holiday cheer. The event also features a special Kid's mile for those aged 12 and under, kicking off at 9:30 AM.
Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Mon River Trail, participants will enjoy a scenic out-and-back course through a winter wonderland. With a registration fee of just $25 until December 11, and $30 on race day, this is a fantastic opportunity to squeeze in one last 5k for the year and collect valuable MAGP points. The first 100 participants will receive a pair of gloves, and there will be plenty of festive treats like candy canes and hot chocolate to keep everyone energized. We Run! Morgantown is hosting its second Run Run Rudolph 5k event! So, grab your Santa/Mrs. Clause or elf outfits and your reindeer antlers and join us for a family friendly and fun 5k that is also apart of the MAGP series. This is a great event to get that last 5k in for the year or grab those last minute MAGP points, we're sure you won't want to miss.
WHEN: Saturday, December 14, 2024
5k Run/Walk: 10:00 AM
Kid's 12 & Under mile: 9:30 AM
LOCATION: Behind Terra Caf'e with an out and back course on the wonderful wintery wonderland trail of the Mon River Trail.
PARKING: Please use the boat launch parking lot located off of Leeway St along the river below Terra for parking to keep Terra's parking lot open for their business. Or use the trail parking spots along Frontier St. There is a paved trail that goes from the boat launch parking lot straight to the starting line!
COST: $25 until December 11, $30 day of race**** from 7:30am-9:00am

PACKET: The first 100 participants will receive a pair of gloves! Candy canes and hot chocolate will also be provided!
PACKET PICK UP: In front of Morgantown Running Friday Dec. 11 from 5-7pm and day of race by the Tugboat playground from 7:30am-9:00am
AWARDS: There will be awards for the top female & male. Prizes will be given out to the ugliest sweater and best dressed Santa/Mrs. Clause.
SCHOLARSHIP: Proceeds from the race will be placed in our We Run! Scholarship fund that will go to one lucky young runner.
To apply for the scholarship participants must be a senior in the Morgantown area schools and submit a photo with an essay describing themselves, their goals, what they plan on doing after high school, and how the scholarship would benefit them. Send your applications to [email protected] by race day! An applicant will be selected by a voting process in We Run! Morgantown and will let the winner know by email. Video essays will be accepted (please email for instructions if you have a video essay).
