Run the Pier (RTP5K) is an annual running event held in Downtown Manistee. The race takes participants out and onto Manistees north pier and around its iconic lighthouse as part of a 5K and 10K. For runners who wish have a bit more of a challenge a 1/2 marathon and Full Marathon options are available. There will be 500 total finisher awards, so run fast. An Official Running festival T-shirt for each participant will be included as part of your registration along with additional swag items TBD.. These races take the athletes on a beautiful winding run along scenic lakeshore drive for the Full Marathon. The Half Marathon route is undergoing changes. All Routes will be posted on our website and added to the participant newsletter once finalized. Be patient and stay tuned. Annual participation brings 500 plus athletes to Manistee from out of town. This year Run the Pier will be held on Saturday July 26th. Post race adult beverages (Beer) will be available with proceeds from the sale going directly to Stomp out Cancer of Manistee.

RTP5K was founded in 2018 as a method of raising funds for local non-profits. In 2021 the non-profit Run the Pier Foundation was dissolved, and operational responsibility was placed in the hands of NOMI. NOMI remains committed to the mission established by the original roots of RTP5K. Elements of the original foundation remain involved with the race and establishing the annual beneficiary.
