Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the RUN4VALOR LONG ISLAND event on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in beautiful Riverhead, Suffolk! This exciting 5K run/walk will kick off at 9:00 AM, starting from the VFW Post 2476, located at 620 Parkway St. Participants can register on-site starting at 8 AM for just $35. Join fellow runners and supporters in this uplifting event that raises awareness for the 22 servicemen and women who tragically take their own lives each day, while also raising funds for the Bob Feller Act of Valor Foundation's scholarship program.
The course will take you on a scenic route around the VFW Post and Slotsky Park, making for a memorable and meaningful morning. With awards for the top three males and females, as well as the top three combined under 18, the competition is sure to be fierce yet friendly! Plus, every participant will enjoy great after-event refreshments and can even snag a guaranteed T-shirt if they register by March 18th. For those who prefer a more flexible approach, there's also a virtual option to run wherever and whenever you like, with results submission open until March 30,
