This festive event, featuring a 5-mile out-and-back course along the picturesque Genesee River, is Rochester's unofficial start to spring and is celebrating its 27th year. On March 15th, participants will gather at Mercantile on Main at 9:30 AM, where the excitement will be palpable as runners dash down Main Street, cheered on by the sounds of bagpipes and the promise of delicious green donuts and live music awaiting them at the finish line.
Whether you choose to run in person or virtually, this event offers something for everyone. Registrants will receive a commemorative Runnin' of the Green race medal (limited to the first 2,000 sign-ups), a long sleeve shirt while supplies last, and a variety of themed post-race snacks and beverages. Plus, enjoy a free post-race party at The Mercantile, complete with live music, games, and additional food options.
