Get ready for a festive and meaningful day of running at the 2024 Running of the Elves 5k and 10k in Marysville, Yuba! On Saturday, December 7th, join fellow runners at the Yuba-Sutter Training Zone for a fun-filled event that kicks off at 8 am. Participants will start the day with the 10k race, followed closely by the 5k at 8:05 am. This exciting race benefits Jayden's Shoes, an organization dedicated to providing athletic footwear for youth athletes in need, inspired by the legacy of Jayden A. Bird.
Runners of all ages are welcome, with medals awarded to the top three finishers in each age division, from 9 & under to 60 & older. Whether you're a seasoned runner or a first-timer, the Running of the Elves promises a great atmosphere, community spirit, and a chance to make a difference. Be sure to register online by December 6th to secure your spot and pick up your race bib, or register on race day starting at 7:15 am. On Saturday, December 7th at 8am, the Yuba-Sutter Training Zone will host the 2024 Running of the Elves 5k/10k. All proceeds from this race will benefit the Jayden's Shoes.
COURSE: Starts in front of Yuba Sutter Training Zone (830 J St, Marysville, CA).
Online registration will close Friday, December 6th at midnight. If you miss online registration, you will be able to register day of, register early to save!!
Race bibs can be picked up on Friday, December 6th at the Training Zone after 12:00pm or on race day.
RACE DAY REGISTRATION: Begins at 7:15 am at Training Zone in Marysville, 10k will start at 8am and 5k to follow at 8:05am.
AWARDS: Medals will be presented to the first 3 male and female finishers in each division: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & older.
Jaydens Shoes - Jayden A. Bird Foundation was formed in honor of the life of Jayden A. Bird, who was tragically killed in a car accident at the age of eighteen in September 2023. Jayden touched and inspired so many people. He had a gentle soul and a loving heart. Jayden had a natural gift for making everyone feel accepted, loved, and part of a group. Jayden expressed before passing away that he wanted youth athletes who were in need to have the athletic shoes they wanted and needed to play sports. We aim to provide that for them to honor Jaydens desire and legacy.
