Organiser's Description
Salida Cross Country is hosting the 3rd annual Citizens Race before the Middle and High School races begin. This is your chance to feel what the cross country runners are about to experience. The course is a 3.1mile trail and double track with 200' of gain. The course features the notorious "puke hill", it's only 100' but in a very short distance...if you know, you know!
There will be a co-ed team race as well. Teams must have at least 3 members and one must be a female. Scores like cross country and each team must have one female scorer. Nike will be providing team shirts to the winning team.
There will be overall awards for the top male and female runner will be Nike Pegasus 41.
This race is organized for the benefit of the Salida Cross Country team. All proceeds go directly to help send the team to the Nike XC Regional meet, NXR, in Mesa AZ on 11/23/24. This is one of the most competitive cross meets in the US, so help us to help them out and let's get the team to NXR this year. Nike and 7000' Running company are supporting this event, so it's going to be huge!
Who can take down the citizens course records of Justin Walker (Men's CR: 21:33) and Joann Nelson (Women's CR: 26:21)
