This exciting event takes place along the scenic Embarcadero, starting at 1492 N. Harbor Dr., with a beautiful 3.1-mile course that leads you through Seaport Village and back. Whether you choose to walk, jog, or run, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the outdoors with family and friends (including your furry companions).
With a start time of 9:00 AM, participants can look forward to an engaging atmosphere that promotes health, fitness, and community spirit. Not only will you receive an official race shirt, medal, and chip timing with your registration, but you'll also be part of an inspiring movement toward better health for all. If you're unable to attend in person, don’t worry! You can opt for virtual participation and complete your distance anytime during race week. Get ready to lace up your shoes, post your photos with #SDMLK5k, and make a positive impact in your community!

Walk, jog or run! Join us on Harbor Dr. to celebrate MLK weekend in a healthy fashion with a scenic Embarcadero experience! This 5K Walk / Fun Run celebrates the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his dream to improve the equal participation of all in healthcare, education and workforce development. We're inspired to help move our community toward a more healthy way of living. What better way to do that than with the objective of completing a 5k. Bring your family and friends (human and furry) to the Embarcadero and get moving with us! See you at the starting line!
We hope to inspire those who have never taken part in a 5K walk / run, to participate. This event promotes health, fitness, and a general sense of well-being through a fun and engaging manner.
We encourage you to post your photos on Social Media with #SDMLK5k.

* Scenic 3.1-mile course down Harbor Dr., crossing into Seaport Village continuing along the harbor coastline and looping around back to the start.

VIRTUAL PARTICIPATION: (Anytime & Anyplace!)
For participants who cant make it to the site but still want to participate and benefit the San Diego Alpha Foundation (501c3)! Please sign up with the virtual option. Complete your distance anytime & anyplace during race week and post your results to the virtual leaderboard. Your race shirt and medal will be mailed to you within 2 weeks of the event date.
