Get ready for an exhilarating day of adventure at the Sandhills Adventure event on Saturday, August 9, 2025, in beautiful Brady, Lincoln! Taking place at the stunning Potters Pasture, this exciting race promises a blend of mountain biking, kayaking, and running/hiking with land navigation challenges. Participants can choose between two thrilling race formats: a 2.5-hour course for just $30 or a more demanding 5-hour course for $50, both of which include race shirts, snacks, drinks, and awards.
Check-in begins at 8:00 AM, with the race kicking off at 8:30 AM. Racers will navigate through checkpoints using pre-plotted maps, while kayaks will be provided at nearby Jeffrey Lake. This family-friendly event encourages solo racers as well as teams of 2 or 3, fostering camaraderie and fun in the great outdoors. With a surprise twist at the start and the option to use the HandyGPS app for navigation, participants will embark on a memorable adventure as they explore the scenic landscape. Check in at Campground area.South side of Potters Pasture.
Check in--8:00am
Start--8:30am
Races--2.5 hours 5 hour
Disciplines--Mountain Biking,kayaking,running/hiking land navigation(map reading)
Fees--2.5 hour--$30 each 5-hour--$50
Fees include--shirts,snacks,drinks,awards
Registration closes--July 17
-Solo,teams of 2 or 3 person . Men;s Women Coed Sign up single and form teams at check in.
Racers will check in Friday night at 7:00 at Campground area or on race day at 8:00am
Race will get maps,instructions,punch cards and any changes or additions to the race.
Kayaks will be provided at Jeffrey Lake just North of Potters. Bikes will be by the campground area.
Teams will be given instructions on which route to go first.
If they complete the course and get in before the cutoff there may be a bonus checkpoint.
This is very family friendlly.
The course will have checkpoints the racers must find.
Everything will be explained well prior to the start and we will help anyone that needs it.
Racers may use a FREE App HandyGPS,compass. Maps will be pre-plotted and help can be given at checkin.
Racers go at their speed and endurance in the allotted time frame. It's about finding checkpoints in the allotted time frame.
Biking will be on gravel and Potters.

****RACE FORMAT--RACERS WILL GET A SURPRISE AT THE START. RACERS WILL DO THE FOOT SECTION FIRST AND MAY GO ROGAINE. WHILE ON FOOT TEAMMATES WILL RUN TOGETHER, THEN ON BIKES THEY WILL RIDE TOGETHER FOR THAT SECTION.DURING THE KAYAK SECTION ONLY ONE WILL PADDLE AND THE OTHER TEAMMATES WILL BE ON FOOT TO CHECKPOINTS.AFTER LEAVING THE LAKE RIDE BACK TOWARDS THE FINISH TO COMPLETE LAST CHALLENGES.
Required gear--helmets for the bikes,map case or zip locks for maps,etc. snacks and water, cell phones, bike tire repair kits.sun screen,kayaks,life vest.
