Event summary
Get ready to make a difference at the Sem Walk For Water 2025 on Sunday, May 4th, 2025, in Kingston, Luzerne! This uplifting event invites participants to join together for a meaningful cause: helping our friends in Burkina Faso gain access to clean water. Kicking off at 1 PM from Wyoming Seminary's Upper School Bell Tower, participants will embark on a scenic 3-mile walk along Market Street to the Susquehanna River, around Kirby Park, and back.
As a symbol of solidarity, everyone is encouraged to wear a blue shirt and carry filled water bottles, reflecting the challenges faced by women and children in Burkina Faso who often transport heavy loads of water over long distances. Registration is required with a minimum base donation of $5, and additional contributions are greatly appreciated to support the construction of a vital new well in the village of Djoana and improve water access for high school students. Join us for a day of community, compassion, and positive impact as we walk together for a brighter future!
