Every day, women and children in East Africa WALK AN AVERAGE OF 5K to retrieve water for their familieswater that is often unsafe and contaminated. This unclean water not only contributes to the _spread of disease_ but also burdens families with _high medical expenses_. The _cycle of poor sanitation and health risks_ is challenging, especially for the most vulnerable including children, elderly, chronically ill, and the disabled. Thankfully, there is a EASY SOLUTION to this problem

SKYLARS RUN 5K FOR CLEAN WATER raises awareness that by GOING THE SAME 5K DISTANCE, we can help CHANGE THE STORY for these vulnerable families in Kenya. Funds raised through this event provide SUSTAINABLE WATER FILTERS, giving families access to clean, safe water. _A single water filter can transform a familys future_reducing preventable health challenges, creating opportunities for education, and helping build greater economic stability.

THIS RACE ALSO HONORS THE LEGACY OF OUR FRIEND, SKYLAR GWIN. ALONGSIDE HIS FATHER, PAUL, SKYLAR SHOWED US THAT EVERYONE CAN BE PART OF THE CLEAN WATER SOLUTION, REGARDLESS OF AGE OR ABILITY.

WE INVITE YOU TO 5K WITH US THIS YEAR: GO THEIR DISTANCE. CHANGE THEIR STORY.
