This vibrant community event supports the Welchester Elementary School PTA and its mission to enhance student experiences through clubs, enrichment learning, and resources for classrooms.
The SOAR 5K offers a scenic 3.1-mile run that features a thrilling double loop course around Daniels Park and the Welchester Elementary community, perfect for runners of all ages and abilities. Not only can you challenge yourself on the course, but you can also participate in the SOAR 5K WALK, which follows the same route and welcomes families to enjoy a leisurely stroll together. For our youngest participants, the SOAR KIDS FUN RUN is a 1K non-competitive event, allowing children ages 12 and under to experience the joy of running through the beautiful Welchester Tree Grant Park.

Welchester Elementary School PTA is proud to host the third annual SOAR 5K!
All proceeds will support the Welchester PTA's efforts including student clubs, enrichment learning, providing resources to classrooms, and creating events that bring families together and build meaningful community.
As this event continues to grow each year, we hope to bring even more of the Golden and JeffCO areas together for connection and partnership!
Sign-up for the SOAR 5K RUN (3.1 miles) that includes a scenic double loop course around Daniels Park and the Welchester Elementary community. Enjoy the challenge of lower grade hills in this event that is open to runners of all ages and abilities.
A great alternative to the Run, the SOAR 5K WALKers will follow the runners along the same 3.1 mile course including a two loops around Daniels Park. The walk is for all ages and fitness levels, so your entire family can participate.
