Get ready for a thrilling season of fun and fitness at the Space Coast Runners Youth Series Races! Kicking off on September 19, 2026, and running through March 6, 2027, this exciting series invites children aged 12 and under to participate in a series of non-competitive fun runs at the Viera Middle School track. With race distances tailored to different age groups—100 meters for little ones aged 3 and under, 200 meters for ages 4-6, 400 meters for ages 7-10, and 800 meters for ages 11-12—every child can join in on the action!
Each Saturday morning, warm-ups begin at 8:50 AM, followed by races at 9 AM, ensuring a vibrant atmosphere filled with cheer and encouragement. Not only will every participant receive a custom award to celebrate their efforts, but those who complete all six races will earn a special limited edition beach towel and be recognized at the end-of-season Youth Series Celebration in May 2027. With free registration and a focus on fun, this is a fantastic opportunity to introduce your child to the joy of running and build lasting memories in the beautiful Brevard County community!

LOOKING TO INTRODUCE YOUR CHILD TO RUNNING?
Space Coast Runners Youth Series _presented by Runner2Runner Foundation_ offers FUN RUNS (ages 12 & under) at 6 different track events in conjunction with the SCR Runner of the Year Series 2026-2027. These non-competitive runs are FREE!
RACE DISTANCES VARY PER AGE GROUP
star 100 meters for 3 years & under
star 200 meters for ages 4- 6 years
star 400 meters for ages 7 - 10 years
star 800 meters for ages 11 - 12 years
PRIZES & AWARDS
* A fun, custom award at the finish of each race is given to every child to recognize their participation and efforts. Collect all 6 for a complete 2026 - 2027 Youth Series set.
* Any child who COMPLETES ALL 6 RUNS this season will receive the special RAN ALL RACES LIMITED EDITION BEACH TOWEL. Additionally, they will be recognized at the end of the season Youth Series Celebration.
WHAT PARENTS NEED TO KNOW
* The Youth Series races are free to all kids 12 & under!
* Register online for the race(s) your child will attend this season.
* Each race will be held at Viera Middle School track on a Saturday morning. Warm ups will begin around 8:50am with with races commencing at 9am. We suggest arriving by 8:40am.
* Parents or guardians need to go to the SCR Tent at each Youth Series race to CHECK IN and pick up the child's race bib.
* Every child will receive a participation award at the end of each race.
* For a child to be eligible for the annual Youth Series Ran All Races Challenge award, they must complete all 6 races in-person.
* The Youth Series awards will be presented at the end of season Youth Series Celebration which will be held in May 2027.
* _Parents do not need to register themselves for the Youth Series events. Registration is for kids 12 years of age and under only._
