This exciting event not only features a scenic USATF Certified 5K (3.1 miles) and 10K (6.2 miles) race but also aims to raise funds for the Meadowlark Parkinson's Program, which provides vital free services to those affected by Parkinson's disease in the Flint Hills and beyond.

Kick off your morning at 8 AM with a thrilling run through the beautiful Tuttle Creek State Park, followed by a fantastic post-race celebration. This year's event also includes a revamped 1/2-mile Pd Memorial Walk/Run, honoring the memories of those lost to Parkinson's. Whether you're a seasoned runner or a casual walker, this event promises to be a fun and meaningful experience for all participants. Organiser's Description

Come enjoy the region's most scenic road race and enjoyable post-race parties! The Speedy Pd Race for Parkinson's disease is the primary event to benefit the Meadowlark Parkinson's Program. The Meadowlark Parkinson's Program provides free services for those in the Flint Hills and beyond! Programming includes exercise, education, and outreach to improve the quality of life for all those affected by Parkinsons disease including patients, caregivers, therapists, and nurses.

This is the 16th year for the Speedy Pd Race for Parkinson's and we are excited to be running the USATF Certified 5k (3.1 miles) and 10k (6.2 miles) courses set in the beautiful Tuttle Creek State Park in Manhattan, Kansas. The Don Rasmussen 5K and 10K will start at 8 am. This year we are revamping our 1/2-mile event a little to honor all those we have lost to Parkinson's. This event is now the Pd Memorial Walk/Run.

The Speedy Pd has one of the most unique racecourses in this area. In usual times, the race is set at the beautiful Tuttle Creek State Park, and the Don Rasmussen 5K and 10K courses are USATF certified since 2013! Both courses are on all-paved roads. The Don Rasmussen 5K course is very flat to the finish. The 10K course is also very flat and shaded throughout the course. Both courses include scenic views of the lake and a great atmosphere with volunteers and supporters lining the course. The race routes are stroller-friendly, and we encourage the whole family to attend! The annual Speedy Pd Don Rasmussen 5K/10K and Family Fun Run benefits Meadowlark Parkinson's Program. The Program provides services in the Flint Hills region to improve the quality of life for all those affected by Parkinsons disease including persons with PD, caregivers, therapists, and nurses.
