Join us for the third annual Spring Fling 5k Run/Walk hosted by the Wichita Falls Runners Club.

DUE TO FLOODING IN LUCY PARK, THIS EVENT IS BEING RELOCATED TO HAMILTON PARK.

This great course starts at the Main Pavilion (next to the Sound Garden) at Lucy Park and winds along a shady tree-lined trail adjacent to the Wichita River. Runners and walkers will enjoy the undulating out-and-back course that passes the Wichita Falls waterfall and then returns to an enthusiastic finish line crowd. The trail is a fully paved 10ft wide path.



Join us on Saturday, May 3 for a fun outdoor family experience.



EVENT SCHEDULE



PACKET PICKUP

Packet pickup is from 7.00 am the morning of the event at the Main Pavilion, HAMILTON PARK.



SATURDAY, MAY 3

7.00 am - Check-in and packet pickup opens
7.50 am - Runners and walkers line up
8.00 am - Fun 5k Run/Walk commences



Once you cross the finish line, relax, and enjoy a post-run beverage and snack while you wait for your family and friends. There are also two playgrounds onsite to keep the kids amused.

This is a self-timed event, a large timing clock will be visible at the finish line.



FAQ'S

Is walking allowed? Yes absolutely! We have many walkers, joggers, and run/walkers at this event!



Are strollers allowed? You are welcome to use a stroller for this event, but all strollers will be asked to start at the back of the group in order to have our runners leave the start line safely.



Is the race dog friendly? We love dogs, but for runner safety we dont allow dogs on the course. Although the paved trails are wide runners will be coming out and back and we dont want runners to trip over your pooch.



Where do I park? There are many parking spaces at HAMILTON PARK near the pavilion, but be sure to arrive early for your event so you have time to park and check-in.



What happens if it rains? The Spring Fling takes place rain or shine, and there are no refunds due to weather events. If there is inclement weather, we will do everything in our power to hold the Spring Fling as scheduled, however, in the case of excessive wind or rain, we may be forced to modify the event. Participant safety is our number one concern.
