HOW TO REGISTER: Click on the "Sign Up" button (above) for the trail race event you would like to register for. This will take you to the external website to register: Swamp Mountain Bike Club (https://www.swampmtbclub.com/squiggy) [https://www.swampmtbclub.com/squiggy]. But don't be alarmed, this is the correct site. We are teaming up with The Swamp Mountain Bike Club to put on Squiggy's Sunset Trail Run which is part of their Squiggy's Gnome Roam Weekend.



Once you land on the Swamp Mountain Bike Club site, please scroll down to the bottom of the page to register:



* INDIVIDUAL RUNNERS: Click on the 5-mile, 10-mile or 20-mile event and simply enter your name and continue to enter your payment information.



* 2- PERSON TEAM RELAY (20 MILES TOTAL) RUNNERS: Each team member runs one (1) 10-mile loop. Each team member must register separately and must enter Team Name. Please click on the 10-mile event and enter your name and TEAM NAME and continue to enter your payment information.



* 4- PERSON TEAM RELAY (20 MILES TOTAL) RUNNERS: Each team member runs one (1) 5-mile loop. Each team member must register separately and must enter Team Name. Please click on the 5-mile event and enter your name and TEAM NAME and continue to enter your payment information.



COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course offers a unique experience for runners of all levels amidst the beauty of nature and features a variety of distance options to suit every participant's preference. Choose from 5-mile, 10-mile, or 20-mile routes, with the opportunity to run as an individual or to run as a 2-person or 4-person relay team (for the 20-mile distance only).



The adventure begins at 5:00 pm, allowing runners to witness the stunning transition from day to dusk as they embark on their journey. It's essential to come prepared with a headlamp and any other necessary items to navigate the trails safely, especially as darkness sets in.



Join us for an unforgettable experience as you challenge yourself and bond with teammates or embrace the solitude of solo running in the picturesque setting of Starkey Wilderness Park. Squiggy's Sunset Trail Run promises excitement, camaraderie, and memories that will last a lifetime.

TRAIL RUN RULES:

* Runners must be able to independently complete a trail run/walk on the terrain of Starkey Park within the stated cut-off times. This terrain includes sand, mud, roots and mulch. Chipped time is available but for personal records only. Awards are not based on competitive times. Beat your personal best.
* Proper trail attire is suggested to include trail shoes, hydration bottles, bug repellent and sunscreen.
* This is a night race - every runner MUST carry a headlamp.
* Participants should bring their own nutrition and hydration for the trails since aid stations will be limited.
* Runners should follow the park rules. Please clean up after yourself. Please use portable toilets and Starkey Park toilets (no public urination).
* All runners on the course must meet a minimum age requirement. Runners must be 10 or older for the 5-mile, 15 or older for the 10-mile, and 18 for the 20-mile.
* Runners share the responsibility to help other runners in need. If you see something, say something.
* Runners must bring their own medications and be responsible for administering as needed.
* Each runner on this course must be registered to be a part of this event.
* Ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
