Organiser's Description

This event is a 1 mile walk/run where friends and families can get together in support of "lighting the dark" (our nonprofit aids children and teens who struggle with their neurodivergency, anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation). We want to shine a light on these struggles, and alleviate some of the pain by demonstrating that these children are not alone in their struggles. The event would begin at 5:30pm, so as to allow for folks to finish the walk (which on average takes 12-25 minutes). The sun should set around 6pm, and then the nonprofit would finish off the night with free community stargazing.
