Organiser's Description

We are bringing back a favorite in the Start It, Stanly! Health and Wellness Series, HIKE IT! Atrium Health Stanly has partnered with Morrow Mountain State Park to provide this exciting opportunity. Come by yourself, with a friend, family, or bring a whole group to enjoy the chance to get away from technology while being physically active. Sign up for these FREE sessions today!

Participants should dress appropriately for the weather and most importantly, trail appropriate shoes. Flip Flops, sandals and open toed shoes are NOT appropriate. In the event of inclement weather, we will send an email to participants.

We will hike EVERY OTHER SATURDAY beginning October 18, then on November 1, 15 and final hike on November 29. All hikes begin at 8:30 a.m. Please be sure to follow the schedule below for starting point.

OCTOBER 18 @ 8:30AM - SUGARLOAF TRAIL

Meet at the parking area located at the Bridle Trail/Sugar Loaf Trail/Horse Trailer Parking area, one-half mile on right after entering Morrow Mountain State Park.



NOVEMBER 1 @ 8:30AM - FALLS TRAIL

Meet in the parking area located near the Morrow Mountain boat launch and boat rental facility.



NOVEMBER 15 @8 8:30AM - HATTAWAY MOUNTAIN TRAIL

Meet at the parking area located at the Bridle Trail/Sugar Loaf Trail/Horse Trailer Parking area, one-half mile on right after entering Morrow Mountain State Park.



NOVEMBER 29 @ 8:30AM - MORROW MOUTAIN TRAIL ** FINAL HIKE**

Meet at the parking area located at the Bridle Trail/Sugar Loaf Trail/Horse Trailer Parking area, one-half mile on right after entering Morrow Mountain State Park.

    By registering for this event, you are eligible to participate any or all of the Hiking sessions. These sessions are not races, just hikes. Please wear appropriate shoes and clothing for the weather. You are also welcome to bring healthy snacks and water on the trail. Every hiking session will begin at 8:00 a.m.
