Get ready for an exhilarating day at the Striders Dismal Swamp 5 Miler and Kid's 1 Mile on Saturday, April 25, 2026! Set in the scenic Dismal Swamp Trail Park in Chesapeake, this exciting event features a challenging 5-mile race that takes participants on a beautiful 2.5-mile out-and-back course along a closed two-lane roadway. The Kid's 1 Mile race is perfect for young runners, consisting of a fun 0.5-mile out-and-back on the trail.
Participants can enjoy early packet pickup on Friday, April 24, from 3-6 PM at Point 2 Running Company, with race day registration starting at 7 AM. The 5-mile race kicks off at 8:00 AM, while the Kid's 1 Mile begins at 9:30 AM. Runners will be treated to an aid station at the halfway mark, and all finishers will receive a stylish T-shirt! Awards will be handed out to the top three overall males and females, as well as age group winners for both distances.
