Get ready to kick off your summer adventures at the Summer Session 10k & 5k, taking place on Saturday, June 26, 2027, in the beautiful Hendersonville, Henderson! This exciting event will be held at Trailside Brewing at Lennox Station, celebrating the newly transformed Ecusta Trail greenway system. Participants will enjoy scenic out-and-back courses that showcase the stunning landscape along the trail.
In addition to the main races, families can join in the fun with the Sunshine Sprint, a .25-mile untimed event for kids that promises smiles and memorable moments. For just $10, young runners will receive a finisher medal and race bib, with an option to add a race shirt for an additional fee. All registered participants in the 10k and 5k will enjoy a finisher medal, a complimentary beer (or non-alcoholic beverage) from Trailside, a race shirt, and reliable chip timing. Plus, you'll be contributing to a great cause, as a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Mills River Partnership. Organiser's Description
Kick off the summer season at Trailside Brewing at Lennox station with the Summer Session 10k & 5k! Both courses will be fully on the all new Ecusta Trail greenway system! The Ecusta Trail is a newly transformed greenway that was originally a rail line. Both courses start at Trailside Brewing and are an out-and-back all on the trail.
Weve also added a kids .25 mile Sunshine Sprint untimed event before the 10k and 5k! The Sunshine Sprint is $10 and includes a finisher medal and race bib. Sunshine Sprinters can add on a race shirt for $20 during check out. Youth small and medium available. There are not awards for the Sunshine Sprint.
