Join us for the exciting SW Hope 5K on Saturday, April 12, 2025, in the vibrant community of Portland, Washington! Kicking off at 9:45 AM with a fun run for kids, the main 5K event will follow at 10:15 AM. This annual race brings together multiple Southwest Portland Faith Organizations and Community Partners to tackle hunger in our local neighborhoods through the Southwest Hope Campaign. Since its inception in 2016, the SW Hope 5K has played a vital role in supporting the Neighborhood House food pantry, the largest food pantry west of the Willamette, by transforming a simple canned food drive into a powerful fundraising initiative.
Every dollar raised from entries and donations helps Neighborhood House purchase food directly from the Oregon Food Bank, making a significant impact on food insecurity in our community. By participating in this uplifting event, you can help ensure that no neighbor in Southwest Portland has to worry about their next meal. Come out, run for a cause, and let's make a difference together!

WE ARE BACK AGAIN AT OES IN SW PORTLAND, STARTING AT 9:45 WITH KIDS AND THE 5K TO FOLLOW AT 10:15!
Every spring, multiple Southwest Portland Faith Organizations and Community Partners join hands to meet the need of hunger specifically, by working to supply Neighborhood Houses food pantry, the largest food pantry west of the Willamette. This joint effort is known as the Southwest Hope Campaign. Since 2016, Missio Church has organized the SW Hope 5k as a culmination of the greater campaign.
What can $1 buy me at a grocery store? One, maybe two, canned goods at the most. For $1, Neighborhood House can buy 4 pounds of food directly from Oregon Food Bank. We quickly realized we could turn a simple canned food drive into a huge tool to empower Neighborhood House and reach hundreds more hungry neighbors.
This is where you come in. We invite you to run with us in our fifth annual SW Hope Feed the Hungry 5K because each $1 we raise together far outweighs its worth in canned goods individually. If we run together, our neighbors here in SW Portland wont have to experience the insecurity of not knowing where their next meal is coming from.
