This beloved event, part of the Winterfest celebration in Downtown Perrysburg, invites children aged 2 to 10 to join in a joyful dash inspired by the town's iconic airplane sculpture. Taking place on E. Second Street between Louisiana and Elm, the race kicks off at 2:00 p.m., with road closures starting at 1:30 p.m. Participants will be grouped by age, ensuring that everyone has a chance to soar through the course. It's all about the joy of movement rather than competition, making it the perfect way for kids to burn off that extra energy after enjoying delicious hot cocoa and s'mores. Every young racer will receive a fun airplane kit to build and play with, allowing them to truly take flight into the year ahead. Remember, pre-registration is required, so get ready to join the fun and make memories at this heartwarming event!

Ready for takeoff! Downtown Perrysburg Inc. is thrilled to once again host the Take Flight Kids Dash, a free Winterfest favorite for children ages 210.
Inspired by Perrysburgs iconic airplane sculpture, this joyful dash is all about fun, imagination, and letting kids movenot about who finishes first. Its also the perfect way for little ones to burn off some extra energy after enjoying hot cocoa and smores at Winterfest.
The race will take place on E. Second street between Louisiana and Elm (across the street from the tent). Thr road closure will begin at 1:30pm. Look for the Daves Running arch shortly after to start gathering and stretching. The race will lift off Saturday at 2:00 p.m., with children divided into age groups and our youngest flyers heading out first.
Every participant will receive an airplane kit to build, play, and Take Flight into the year ahead.
Pre-registration is required for all racers.
