The day's festivities kick off early, with registration opening at 6:30 AM for the 5K, followed by the race starting at 8:00 AM. Families and participants of all ages can join in for the one-mile walk at 10:30 AM. Don't forget to bring your strollers and wagons, as this event welcomes everyone! With awards for the 5K participants and a special Kids Dash, it’s a perfect day for family fun and community bonding. We are excited to see everyone in person this year at the 2025 Taking Steps for Autism Walk & 5K, sponsored by 14News, a fundraiser to support Autism Everyone.
The event is being held on SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 2026 at the Vanderburgh County 4H Center, located at 201 E. Boonville-New Harmony Road, Darmstadt, Indiana 47725.
**This event will be held rain or shine - there will be no reschedule date!

PACKET PICKUP: SHIRTS AND BIBS FOR 5K RUNNERS, AND ALL SHIRTS FOR FAMILIES CAN BE PICKED UP ON THE FOLLOWING DATES:
TUESDAY, APRIL 14: 9AM - 4PM
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15: 9AM - 4PM
THURSDAY, APRIL 16: 9AM - 2PM
If you cant make it to pick up, the shirts will be at the walk on Saturday, April 18.
*These are shirts for families that registered on or before April 1.

Taking Steps for Autism Walk & 5K allows families to run, walk, and socialize in a safe environment. All funds raised stay local to benefit families in our tri-state. We will have vendors, sponsor booths, and family fun activities! Those who register *ON or BEFORE* April 1, *WILL* receive a t-shirt with all sponsors!
