Join us for the exciting Couch Potato 1-Miler at TaterFest on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in the charming town of Mount Jackson, Shenandoah! This fun-filled event kicks off at 10 AM, just in time for the inaugural TaterFest festival that starts at 11 AM. While originally planned as a 5K, the Couch Potato 1-Miler promises a more relaxed and enjoyable experience for all participants, taking place entirely within the scenic Mount Jackson Town Park (also known as Lion's Park).
Get ready to celebrate with live music, a local farmers market, a wine and brew garden, hayrides, a tractor show, and so much more! Participants will receive a complimentary t-shirt and a $5 coupon for delicious food from the festival food truck. Awards will be given for the top finishers in each age group, as well as fun categories like Best Costume and Ultimate Couch Potato! Registration starts at 9 AM, so arrive early to enjoy the Couch Potato Lounge hosted by the Mt. Jackson-Edinburg Rotary Chapter. Don't miss out on this fantastic day of fun, community, and celebration!

While originally planned to be a 5K - these couch potatoes just couldn't muster the energy! For the safety of the runners, we have shifted to a 1-miler all within the Mount Jackson Town Park (aka Lion's Park). This year's fun run will kickoff the inaugural TaterFest in the Town of Mount Jackson! The race, beginning at 10AM, will conclude just as the 11AM festival start time begins! All are welcome to stick around for live music, local farmers market, the wine/brew garden, hayrides, tractor show & MORE!
Awards will be given to the top finishers in each age group, along with Best Costume & Ultimate Couch Potato!
