The Tavola Kid's Triathlon (formerly the Woodtrace Wilderness Kid's Triathlon) will be held in the master-planned community of Tavola, which was ranked as one of the fast-selling communities in the nation for 2022.

Ages are determined to be as of 12/31/2023.

USAT's "Age Up" Policy:

An athlete's age for any USAT sanctioned race will be his/her age as of Dec. 31 of the current race year. The age he/she is on 12/31 will determine his/her racing age group. If an athlete is due to "age-up" into the next group, it will happen at the beginning of the year, not after the athlete's birthday.

Examples:

Chris is 39 and will turn 40 on November 20, 2022. Chris will be considered 40 for all 2022 races - and will race in the 40-44 age group at all 2022 races.
Nora is 29 and will turn 30 on July 3, 2022. Nora will be considered 30 for all 2022 races - and will race in the 30-34 age group at all 2022 races.



We will have two distances:

*AS THE COURSE/MAPS ARE BUILT, THESE ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. THE WILL BE CLOSE TO THE PREVIOUS DISTANCES.*

SHORT COURSE - Ages 5 to 10 will do a 100 yard Swim, ~2 mile Bike, & ~1 mile Run

LONG COURSE - Ages 11-15 will do a 200 yard Swim, ~4 mile Bike, & ~2 mile Run

The Triathlon Swimming Portion will be held in the Swimming Pool.
