Join us for the Team Rhonda Memorial 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, September 20, 2025, in beautiful Carterville, Williamson! This uplifting event honors the legacy of Rhonda, a dedicated surgical tech who spent nearly two decades making a difference in the lives of her patients and colleagues. The 5K run/walk will take place in the John A. Logan College parking lot, where participants of all ages can come together to celebrate Rhonda’s passion for her profession while also raising funds for scholarships in the Surgical Tech program at John A. Logan College.
Kick off the day with registration starting at 9:00 AM, followed by the race at 10:00 AM, and stay for the award ceremony at 11:15 AM to recognize the efforts of our fantastic participants! With registration fees at just $30 for individuals and $90 for families of four, this event is not only a chance to get active but also to support a meaningful cause. So lace up your running shoes, gather your family and friends, and be part of this memorable day dedicated to honoring Rhonda’s inspiring legacy!

Organiser's Description
Rhonda worked nearly 20 years as a surgical tech. She worked for Southern Illinois Healthcare for many years and finished her career at The Orthopaedic Institute of Southern Illinois. Rhonda loved her profession! Many of her co-workers called her Grandma since she was older than many of those she worked with. However, her former co-workers will tell you that she could work circles around most people. After Rhondas passing, her family decided to honor her memory by raising funds to provide scholarships for the Surgical Tech program at John A. Logan College. The funds raised through this 5K and other related events will be used to provide scholarships through the John A. Logan College Foundation and helps others pursue the same career Rhonda did.
