What is Adventure Racing??Adventure races include mountain/gravel biking, rowing, orienteering and other disciplines to find control points along a course through forests, waterways, trails and rural roads.  There is a time limit, but winners are determined first by finding the most checkpoints.  The course is not revealed until immediately before the race.  Navigation is by map and compass - no GPS devices allowed!  Racers supply their own mountain bike and personal gear, but maps, watercraft, and paddles are supplied and included in the race fee.  Click here for a deeper breakdown of the sport.  If you have never adventure raced before but feel youre strong in the disciplines, the 6 hour event is for you!  For a truly introductory experience, try Berryman-Lite.
The Berryman Adventure 18 hour and 6 hour courses earn USARA points, and are challenging courses designed for experienced racers.
Berryman-Lite is designed with novice adventure racers in mind.  This is a low risk, fun option for beginners or anyone who wants a gentle introduction to the sport.* partially supported (some water on the course) ** maps will be pre-plotted ** navigation will be accessible for beginners ** simplified gear list ** easy to cut back to headquarters whenever youve had enough *
18 hour race schedule:Mandatory check-in is open from 4 - 6:30 pm on May 17th at the Betty Lea Lodge at Echo Bluff State Park near Eminence, MO.Mandatory pre-race meeting is at 7 pm on May 17th at Echo Bluff.Race starts at midnight!!  Finish deadline is 6PM on May 18th.
6 hour race and Berryman-Lite race schedule:Mandatory check-in is open from 7 - 9 am on May 18th at the Betty Lea Lodge at Echo Bluff State Park near Eminence, MO.Mandatory pre-race meeting is at 9:00 am on May 18th at Echo Bluff.Race starts 11 am on May 18thFinish deadline is 5 pm on May 18th
Registration prices are PER RACER and do not include online registration processing fees.
Registration closes at midnight on May 5th.
A USARA license (either Single Event or Annual) is required for each racer, and that cost is not included in the registration fee.  NOTE: When purchasing a one-day USARA license, choose May 18th as the date.  Also, team members may need to register in separate sessions if multiple team members need to purchase a license.
This years race will include real time racer tracking.  Each team will carry a (provided) tracking device, and anyone with a link (we will share on race week) will be able to follow teams as they progress through their course by viewing an online map with all tracks displayed real time.In addition, We encourage your family and friends (and enemies) to join our staff at Echo Bluffs Lodge during the race for a watch party as we track the racers live, and watch them finish from the lodge deck.
