The cross-country course, which features gravel roads and grass, will challenge and delight participants as they run across the propertyโs Berm. Strollers are welcome for the 1-mile fun run, although we recommend saving the 5K for those looking for a more intense experience. With registration fees starting at just $20 for the Fun Run and $25 for the 5K and Ruck, this event is not only a great way to get active but also a chance to contribute to a meaningful cause. Join us for the 2nd annual 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run, Walk, and 5k Ruck hosted by Haven at Blue Creek on our stunning grounds in Grimesland, NC. The First Step 5k is organized to support Haven at Blue Creek, a Women's Rehabilitation Center committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for women overcoming addiction. Join us for post-race refreshments, entertainment including bouncy houses for children, and a joyful, family-friendly atmosphere.
The course is a cross country style course (gravel road/grass) and includes running across the propertys Berm. Strollers are welcome for the 1-mile fun run but we do not recommend for the 5k. Dogs on leashes are welcome.
