The course features a cross-country style route made up of gravel roads and grass, ensuring a unique running experience. Strollers are welcome for the 1-mile fun run, while dogs on leashes can join in the fun as well! Registration fees are $25 for the 5K and Ruck (rising to $35 after March 22) and just $20 for the Fun Run, with the added perk of a T-shirt for those who register by April 4th. Join us for the 2nd annual 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run, Walk, and 5k Ruck hosted by Haven at Blue Creek on our stunning grounds in Grimesland, NC. The First Step 5k is organized to support Haven at Blue Creek, a Women's Rehabilitation Center committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for women overcoming addiction. Join us for post-race refreshments, entertainment including bouncy houses for children, and a joyful, family-friendly atmosphere.
The course is a cross country style course (gravel road/grass) and includes running across the propertys Berm. Strollers are welcome for the 1-mile fun run but we do not recommend for the 5k. Dogs on leashes are welcome.

Nestled in a serene landscape, Haven at Blue Creek is a sanctuary dedicated to the recovery of women fighting addiction. Our program, exclusively for women, embraces a holistic approach to recovery, focusing on healing the mind, body, and spirit.
