Join us for the thrilling Sew Hop'd Beer Mile on Saturday, July 25, 2026, in the vibrant town of Huntley, McHenry! This exciting event features four exhilarating laps of a quarter mile each, where participants will sip a 12-ounce beer before every lap, combining the fun of running with the joy of craft beer. With heats of no more than 16 participants starting every 30 minutes, there's plenty of room for spirited competition and camaraderie.
Registration begins at 1 PM, with the first relay team heat kicking off at 2 PM, followed by individual heats at 3 PM and 3:30 PM. Whether you're part of a relay team or tackling the course solo, you'll enjoy a festive atmosphere complete with food trucks, live music from 6 PM to 8 PM, and exciting raffles throughout the day. Every participant will receive a custom bib, a finisher's medal, and a beer glass as part of their registration—so don't miss out! Remember, you must be 21 years or older to join in the fun. Four 1/4 mile laps, runners drink a 12 once beer before each lap, (drink, run, drink, run, drink, run, drink, run). Must drink beer provided by event. Heats of no more than 16 participants will start every 30 minutes. Event benefits The Huntley Historical Society. RAIN OR SHINE!
