Participants will gather at the Pendleton Law Firm parking lot before taking off on a scenic route along the rail trail, returning to finish at First Federal Park. Runners of all ages are encouraged to join, with divisions for age groups ranging from 14 and under to 80+, ensuring everyone has a chance to shine. Each finisher will proudly receive a medal, and those who register by March 28 are guaranteed a stylish t-shirt. Plus, students aged 17 and under can take advantage of age-based pricing at checkout, making this an accessible event for families. Come out for a day of fitness, community spirit, and preservation of our local history!
Organiser's Description
The Landmark 5K will directly benefit Lincoln Landmarks, Inc., a non-profit organization that advocates for historic preservation of Lincoln County, NC, promotes the historic architecture of our region, facilitates preservation easements and covenants for historic properties, provides preservation resources for owners, and endorses best practices for the rehabilitation and restoration of historic properties. As well, proceeds will go toward the rehabilitation of Lincolntons oldest brick building, Pleasant Retreat Academy, which was built in 1817 and still stands on the corner of East Pine and North Academy Street.
The participants will gather in the parking lot of Pendleton Law Firm. For the race start runners will make their way to the rail trail and run the rail trail both ways and finish at First Federal Park.
Awards: 1st place Overall Male and Female
1st place in each age group
Age Groups (Male and Female) 14 and under 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
All finishers will receive a medal
Guaranteed t-shirt registration by March 28.

Packet Pickup will be Saturday morning from 6:30-7:30.
