Celebrating its 11th year, this unique event features three consecutive 5K races starting at 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., and 10:00 a.m. Participants can choose to tackle one, two, or all three races, with the option to decide on race day. The scenic course meanders through two beautiful parks and includes a charming historical bridge, offering runners a delightful experience on a smooth, paved trail.
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun challenge, The Melt Down promises an unforgettable summer running experience. Each finisher of the first race will receive a custom MELT DOWN medal, and all participants will enjoy fun, hot summer-themed t-shirts. Organiser's Description
Three 5K's + One Day = The Melt Down! This challenging event is in it's 11th year. Three consecutive 5K's at 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Do one, two or all three races! You can decide that day! Races must be done in order (so no fresh runners in race #2 or race #3). If participants are just doing one race it has to be the 8:00 a.m. race. Races must be finished in 1 hour to allow for the start of the next race. Course is on a beautiful wide, smooth, paved trail through two parks and crosses a historical bridge! Indoor restrooms and a fun, free splash pad and playground for the kiddos located right next to the start/finish. Everyone who finishes the first race races receives a custom MELT DOWN medal. Fun HOT, summer themed t-shirts! Awards for top three male/female and top 3 in age groups in the FIRST race only. Also award for the top male and female best COMBINED times of all three races.
