The Nature Institute's Hike-A-Thon

Virtual Event

Organiser's Description

Log miles to support The Nature Institute! This month-long fundraiser is all about hitting the trails, enjoying nature, and supporting our mission of restoration, preservation, and education. From April 1st to 30th, hikers will compete for prizes by logging hikes and collecting support from their friends and family! Registrants can compete in their own time, according to their own schedule. Be sure to register by March 15th, 2024 for a commemorative Hike-A-Thon shirt!
How Does It Work?:
Step 1: Register for the Hike-A-Thon.
Step 2: Collect sponsors (friends, family, mailman) that pledge a certain amount per mile that you hike. This could be as little as a couple of cents per mile!
Step 3: Hike your heart out. Hiking can be done anywhere, not just at TNI.
Step 4: Keep a log of your mileage on the registration website.
Step 5: Attend the Hike-A-Thon Finish Line Celebration on May 6th!
All of the money raised by Hike-A-Thon participants goes directly into supporting our mission of restoration, preservation, and education. These funds assist us with restoring land, sending kids to camp that typically would not be able to, supporting our education programming, and removing invasive species from the property.
