Get ready for an exciting day of athletic fun at the 22nd Annual Woodlands YMCA Kids Triathlon, taking place on Saturday, July 19, 2025, in The Woodlands, Montgomery, Texas! This vibrant event, starting at 7:00 AM, invites children ages 6 to 13 to dive into an exhilarating challenge as they swim, bike, and run their way to the finish line. Young athletes will have the opportunity to compete in age-specific categories, with distances tailored to their skills: ages 6-9 will swim 50 meters, bike 1 mile, and run 1 lap of a small field; ages 10-12 will swim 100 meters, cycle 2 miles, and run 1 lap of the entire field; and 13-year-olds will tackle a 150-meter swim, a 3-mile bike ride, and a run that includes 1 lap of the entire field plus 1 lap of the small field.

3RD RACE IN SUMMER RACE SERIES
START TIME IS 7:00AM. TRANSITION WILL OPEN AT 5:15AM.
KIDS TRIATHLON: FOR AGES 6 13, age on race day, July 19, 2025
By Special Request: The Race will allow an older 5 year old to register, if they can meet the below requirements. Please note: Age 5 will be competing in the age 6 category. Parents, Please email [email protected] with your special request. *T-Shirt Sizes are not guaranteed.
Open to all skills levels but . . . All children must be able to swim several laps of the pool, unassisted and ride a bike with pedals.
For safety reasons, all athletes are required to wear a bike helmet and wear shoes riding bike and running.
LOCATION:
The Woodlands Family YMCA at Branch Crossing, 8100 Ashlane Way in The Woodlands, TX.
REGULAR REGISTRATION FEE IS $45.
Regular Registration Deadline is June 27th
LATE REGISTRATION FEE IS $50.
Registration Deadline is June 28th based on space availability.
Fee includes an Event Shirt and Finisher Medal.
Event is capped at 350 triathletes.
Annually, Hundreds of children experience the challenge and fun of friendly athletic competition as they run, swim and bike to the finish line of the YMCA Kids Triathlon. In its 20 years of promoting fitness and confidence in children, the Kids Triathlon, benefits the YMCA Annual Campaign, which ensures everyone, regardless of age, income or background has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive at the Y.
TRIATHLON: SWIM, BIKE, RUN! Boys and girls will compete separately in events designed for their age group.
Children ages 6 9 will swim 50-Meter, 1-mile Bike, 1 Lap of Small Field.
Children ages 10 12 will swim 100 meters, cycle for 2 miles and run 1 lap of entire field.
Ages 13 will swim 150 meters, cycle for 3 miles and run 1 lap of entire field and 1 lap of small field.
PACKET PICK UP:
Packet Pick Up will be available at The Branch Crossing YMCA July 14-18, 9am - 6pm and on race day morning, July 19, 5:15 - 6:30am.
