Throughout the year, The Workout Group meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with sessions tailored to boost your leg speed and endurance.

On Tuesday mornings, you can kickstart your day with a variety of higher intensity intervals at Rillito Regional Park starting at 5:30 AM, or join us in the evening at the Tucson Racquet and Fitness Club at 6 PM. Whether you're looking to build stamina or improve your speed, this is the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself in a supportive environment. Donโ€™t forget to bring your essentials, including a water bottle, running watch, and a head lamp for those shorter days ahead. Get ready to run your best and make lasting memories in our vibrant running community!

Organiser's Description

Welcome to The Workout Group!

Our goal for this community is to create a positive and safe environment for you to run your best. Led by a team of RRCA-certified running coaches, The Workout Group meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and evenings from August through May. Our Tuesday workouts include a variety of higher intensity intervals for building leg speed, while Thursday's workouts include longer stamina building effort sessions.

* Tuesday & Thursday Evening Workouts: Tucson Racquet and Fitness Club, 6 PM
* Tuesday & Thursday Morning Workouts: Rillito Regional Park, 5:30 AM
* We ask that you arrive at least 10-15 minutes early to get in some kind of warm-up activity before the workout.

Recommended gear:

* Water bottle: A hand-held to carry during the hotter runs, or bottle to stash in the car for before and after run hydration.
* Watch: Some workouts are time based and some are paced based. Either way, it's nice to keep track on a running watch.
* Head lamp: Starting in September the days get shorter and shorter. Having a head lamp to light the way makes for a safer and more enjoyable run.
* Towel: Bring a towel for the car. Sitting in your own sweat on the drive home from a workout is not comfortable. Also, we may get to permission to jump in the TRFC pool every now and then.
