Join us every Tuesday and Thursday for energizing workouts that will boost your speed and stamina.

Tuesday evenings at 6 PM, we gather at Brandi Fenton Memorial Park for high-intensity interval training, tailored to enhance your leg speed. On Thursday mornings at 5:30 AM, meet us at Rillito Sports Fields for stamina-building sessions that will prepare you for any race distance. Don’t forget to arrive 10-15 minutes early to warm up and bring along essential gear like a water bottle, a running watch, and a headlamp for those shorter days as the season progresses. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out, The Workout Group is the perfect place to connect, grow, and run together!

Organiser's Description

Welcome to The Workout Group!

Our goal for this community is to create a positive and safe environment for you to run your best. Led by a team of RRCA-certified running coaches, The Workout Group meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and evenings from August through May. Our Tuesday workouts include a variety of higher intensity intervals for building leg speed, while Thursday's workouts include stamina building sessions.

* Tuesday & Thursday Evening Workouts: Brandi Fenton Memorial Park, 6 PM
* Tuesday & Thursday Morning Workouts: Rillito Sports Fields, 5:30 AM
* We ask that you arrive at least 10-15 minutes early to get in some kind of warm-up activity before the workout.

Recommended gear:

* Water bottle: A hand-held to carry during the hotter runs, or bottle to stash in the car for before and after run hydration.
* Watch: Some workouts are time based and some are paced based. Either way, it's nice to keep track on a running watch.
* Head lamp: Starting in September the days get shorter and shorter. Having a head lamp to light the way makes for a safer and more enjoyable run.
* Towel: Bring a towel for the car. Sitting in your own sweat on the drive home from a workout is not comfortable. Also, we may get to permission to jump in the TRFC pool every now and then.
