Organiser's Description
This Is Me is a movement we are taking to bring Inclusion into the town of Seymour and surrounding communities.
We are having a day where community members of all abilities and capabilities come together to raise awareness and acceptance.
We will also be having a resource fair on that day where those with an Intellectual or Developmental Disability (IDD) can meet facilities to gain some knowledge, support and services from.
Our plan is to also make this movement into a non profit so we can help with Inclusion in Seymour and surrounding communities for those with an IDD.
The funds raised from this event are going to help, at least, 2 members (and 2 chaperones) of the Best Buddies club at SHS to attend the annual conference in Indiana in July, and to start a bank so this will be the first of many walk-a-thons to come as well as other community events.
