This uplifting event supports the Millville Army Airfield Museum, which honors the significant history of America's first defense airport established in 1941. Participants can choose between the invigorating 5k race or a leisurely 1-mile walk, making it perfect for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.
Celebrate Flag Day by wearing something patriotic or a military uniform as you run or walk alongside fellow community members. After the race, join us for a fantastic post-race reception at Glasstown Brewing Company, featuring live music during an open mic session starting around 11:30 AM. Enjoy delicious food from a food truck and celebrate with a complimentary beer for runners aged 21 and over. With finisher medals, awards for top finishers in each category, and proceeds benefiting the museum, this event promises to be a memorable day filled with fun, camaraderie, and community spirit!

THE MILLVILLE ARMY AIR FIELD MUSEUM (MAAFM) PRESERVES THE HISTORY OF THE MILLVILLE ARMY AIR FIELD, MILLVILLE, NJ, WHICH WAS DEDICATED BY THE U.S. WAR DEPARTMENT IN 1941 AS AMERICAS FIRST DEFENSE AIRPORT. DURING ITS FOUR-YEAR EXISTENCE, MORE THAN 10,000 MEN AND WOMEN SERVED HERE, WITH 1,500 PILOTS RECEIVING ADVANCED FIGHTER TRAINING IN P-47 THUNDERBOLT AND P-40 WARHAWK FIGHTER PLANES. THE MUSEUM HONORS THE MEMORY OF 14 PILOTS WHO DIED WHILE TRAINING AT MILLVILLE. THE MUSEUMS MISSION FOCUSES ON PRESERVATION, EDUCATION AND HONOR.
