Get ready for an exciting day of athletic fun at Tom's Try-athlon on Saturday, June 5, 2027, held at the beautiful Oak Brook Park District in DuPage! This vibrant event is designed to encourage kids to stay active while showcasing their talents in a friendly competition. Participants will take on three traditional triathlon events: swimming, biking, and running, with race distances tailored for different age groups. Kids aged 6-8 will swim 25 yards, bike 1.3 miles, and run 0.6 miles; those aged 9-11 will tackle 75 yards in the pool, bike 2.6 miles, and finish with a 1.2-mile run; while the 12-14 age group will swim 125 yards, bike 3.9 miles, and run 1.7 miles.
Remember, safety first! All participants must wear a bike helmet during the biking portion to avoid disqualification. The event kicks off promptly at 8 AM, so be sure to arrive early for check-in and packet pick-up from 6:30 to 7:30 AM. Don't miss Tom's Try-athlon! This friendly competition promotes exercise in a fun and energetic way. Kids will show off their skills and athleticism by participating in the three traditional triathlon events: swimming, biking, and running.*
