Get ready for a fantastic day of fun and fitness at the Tonsina Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 26, 2026, in beautiful Seward, located on the stunning Kenai Peninsula! This annual event, hosted in collaboration with the Seward Running Club, invites runners of all ages to join in an exhilarating out-and-back trail race that spans approximately 4.4 miles. Starting at the Tonsina Trailhead, participants will race down the scenic trail to the pavilion on Tonsina Point and back, surrounded by breathtaking Alaskan views.
Don't forget to pick up your race bib either the day before at the Sports and Recreation front desk or on race day starting at 9:30 AM, with the race kicking off at 10 AM. Plus, the first 100 participants to register will receive a stylish Seward Running Club beanie in their swag bag! Gather your friends and family for a memorable day filled with community spirit, exercise, and a celebration of the season. We can't wait to see you at the starting line!

Organiser's Description
Seward Parks & Recreation is excited to announce we are teaming up with the Seward Running Club for the annual Turkey Trot! The race is an out-and-back style trail race. Starting at the Tonsina Trailhead, runners will dash down the trail all the way to the pavilion on Tonsina Point and back. The race is approximately 4.4 miles long.
Race bibs may be picked up either the day prior at Sports and Recreations front desk located at 519 4th Avenue, or before the race starts starting at 9:30am.
The race will start at 10am. See you at the starting line!
