Event summary
Join us for the Trail To Recovery 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in beautiful Norman, Cleveland! Hosted by the Oklahoma Race Company and organized by Debbie Uglean, this inspiring event marks its fourth annual celebration, bringing together the community to support the recovery efforts in Cleveland County. The race kicks off at 8:30 a.m., with participants having the option to tackle a challenging 5K or enjoy a leisurely 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk.
The proceeds from this event will benefit the Cleveland County Recovery Court Programs and other local organizations dedicated to providing vital substance abuse and mental health services. All 5K registrants will receive a custom t-shirt (if registered by April 15, 2026), a finisher medal, bib, and timing chip. The 1 Mile Fun Run participants will also receive a finisher medal and bib, with t-shirts available for purchase. Plus, awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers as well as the top three finishers in each age division for the 5K.

IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION CREATED TO SUPPORT THE RECOVERY COMMUNITY IN CLEVELAND COUNTY. PROCEEDS WILL BENEFIT CLEVELAND COUNTY RECOVERY COURT PROGRAMS AS WELL AS OTHER LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS WHO PROVIDE SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is a trail run through a well maintained community park in Norman, OK. It is mostly flat with a few slight hills and consists of grass, sidewalk and some gravel surfaces. The course is smooth and safe for all runners/walkers and is often used for local high school cross country races.
PARKING/ACCOMMODATIONS: Parking is available on the west side of the park off of 36th Ave near Franklin Road. Overflow parking will be at All Saints Catholic School which is just south of the park and Christ Church which is just north and across the street from the park. Parking is available on the north side of the park (Franklin Road), but not recommended because of the distance from the start/finish line. There will be volunteers at the event to help with parking and crossing 36th street (if necessary). Restrooms are located in the main parking lot.
PACKET PICKUP: Early packet pick-up will be FRIDAY, MAY 8 FROM 5:00-7:00 PM AT OK RUNNER IN NORMAN, 3408 36th Ave NW, Suite 100, Norman, OK 73072. Packets may also be picked up on race day (May 9) from 7:00 - 8:15 am. We strongly encourage everyone to pick up your packets on Friday to avoid any delays on race day!
