Join us and experience the new Trail to Tryon Holiday Half on our new date of December 6. Our festive new date offers a great run experience coupled with all the holiday beauty New Bern has to offer. Pick your distance between a half Marathon, 10K, or 5K. Strategically placed on the calendar to be your final run/walk of the year, make it a weekend and celebrate with us.



Please note, this is a ROAD EVENT as the name "Trail to Tryon" is just a reference to the history of New Bern as Tryon Palace was colonial North Carolinas first official center of government. The race starts at the gates of Tryon Palace and continues through New Berns charming downtown district, iconic waterfront parks, and beautiful residential neighborhoods. The race ends at the NC History Center. The post-race ceremony will include a waterfront celebration offering fun-filled events for all ages.

All three race distances use the same start and finish locations making it easy for family and friends to enjoy together. A finish line celebration for all participants will be held at Bate Commons (Behind the History Center) from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Food, soft drinks, and beer will be served and awards given to the top three male and female times in each age category. Plan to stay for the night and take in the holiday parade and some of the eclectic food and music scenes New Bern offers.
