For adults, the triathlon features a 500-yard swim, a 10.6-mile bike ride, and a 5K run. Participants can join as individuals or form relay teams, with options for both 2-person and 3-person relays available at just $50 per participant. Young athletes will also have their moment to shine with a specially designed kids triathlon, featuring both Short and Long Course options. The Short Course includes a single lap swim, ensuring a fun and engaging experience for all levels of young competitors. Organiser's Description
This is an untimed triathlon in Nikiski.
The adult triathlon/relay team: 500yd swim. 10.6 mile bike. 5k run.
For the adult relay you will have two options; the first is a 3 person relay, $50 each participant. Or a 2 person relay, $50 each.
You will be able to join a team or create a new one.
There is not a team option for the kids triathlon.
Kids triathlon: For the kids triathlon we will have a Short Course and a Long Course.
Short course 1 lap swim. <2 mile bike ride. <1 mile run.
Long Course 2 lap swim. <2 mile bike ride. <1 mile run.
The bike course will be mostly gravel. Please have your kids plan accordingly.
The run will be the same course as last year, except backwards. Therefore, they wont be running up that big hill towards the end, they will instead be running down it. Please check our Facebook page for a picture of the route. For those of you that are familiar with the NPRSA trails, it is Illiamna Loop.

The kids tri will be a 1-2 lap swim, 2 Mile bike and roughly 1 mile run. Please watch our Facebook page for updates on the course as it will change from last year. Please note that there may be a portion of the bike ride that is gravel. Please plan accordingly. Again, we will have further updates on the bike course soon.
